Feel right at home at Andy's Backpackers Lodge.
Andy's offers travellers a welcome haven and a relaxing open-house lifestyle. Facilities include kitchen and laundry, bathroom, a large common room with an open fire, and a piano. There's also a guitar. There is a pleasant, shaded courtyard, complete with barbeque. Breakfast is help yourself.
Come dinner time, there is usually a pot of something cooking on the stove or over the fire pit. Dinner is by donation. Feel free to graze in the permaculture garden, or pick fresh organically grown vegies for dinner.
Andy's is a place of music and friendliness, serving as a meeting place in the heart of town, and a rehearsal space for the 22 member local a capella group, Barrapella, each Wednesday (during school terms) and a venue for Chess Club every Friday. Music workshops, concerts and gatherings are held in the front room throughout the year.
You will meet some interesting people at Andy's, and find yourself invited to some amazing places.
